					| The Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago White Sox, 4-3. Boston pitcher and Flint, Michigan, native Justin Whitesack led the way. Fred Huber, 7-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. John Jordan converted his 3rd save in 3 tries. 
 Ernesto Cedillos drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate. He drove in 2 runs for Boston. The 29-year old first baseman  had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring  walk off Gerbrand van de Bilt. It was his 26th walk of the season.
 
 "We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Chicago skipper Larry Stefanski.
 
 With the win, Boston pushed its record to 75-66.
