Vo Lifts Rangers to 6-2 Triumph
|
The Texas Rangers bested the California Angels by a score of 6-2, with designated hitter Da Vo getting the main credit. On the day, Vo went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Rangers. The Rangers, now 96-44, have won 13 in a row.
Texas used a well-timed hit by Bert Clark to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Vo.
