					| Cubs Need Extra Innings to Top Pirates, 2-1 |
					| In a well-pitched game between the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates, pitcher Unkei Wakamatsu was fantastic. The Chicago left-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. The winner in relief was George Poirier. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1. The National League Central Division-leading Cubs have a record of 91-45.
The Cubs procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Elijah Campbell. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

Campbell called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
