					| The Texas Rangers topped the Oakland Athletics, 5-2, in American League action at O.co Coliseum. The standout performance belonged to Texas pitcher and The United States, native Matt Sigurdson. Sigurdson went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-5.  Brad Kramer earned his 34th save in 37 chances. 
 Cody Schumacher, the slick-fielding center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Schumacher contributed a run-scoring  walk in the top of the third inning to put Texas up, 4-1.
 
 "I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Sigurdson told the Texas Citizen.
 
 Texas has a 9-game win streak, while Oakland has lost 5 in a row.
