In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The win gives Washington a season record of 93-42.
Junzo Kato, who is on pace for 109 RBI this season, chipped in for Washington with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Kato told the Washington News.
