Kasahara Helps Chicago Cruise to 16-3 Win
The Chicago Cubs stopped the Milwaukee Brewers, 16-3, at Wrigley Field. The Cubs got a big game from Yasuhide Kasahara, who went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The win gives Chicago a season record of 90-44.

With Chicago leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Kasahara hit a fastball from Oleg Bahanov for a 2-run triple. It was his 11th triple of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 4-0.

"They licked us pretty good," said losing manager Erik Evanson.
