					| Washington Beats Miami, 4-1 |
					| Washington beat Miami on the strength of starter Dale Ahernfeld's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. In 7 innings, Ahernfeld surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Keith Pratt was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 9 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Washington, had it not been for Jared Speck, the former first round draft pick . Speck contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Washington up, 1-0.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Ahernfeld said.

Washington has now won 4 games in a row.
