					| Rockies Drop Angels, 3-0 |
					| Cooper Bate never let California get something going. The Colorado left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Rockies to a 3-0 win. Bate, now 7-13, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Victor Walshe was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 17 save opportunities.
Colorado relied on the hitting of Rico Coss to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rockies on top, 3-0. For the game, Coss had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Colorado skipper Nick Barron.

Colorado, with the win, climbs to 44-88.
