The Los Angeles Dodgers got a superb performance from pitcher Ray Scifo. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Texas. The Rangers won the game, 4-3. Scifo threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Texas pitcher Troy Baker got the win, upping his record to 5-4. Chut-sai Teoh got the loss. The Rangers sport a record of 79-41.
Texas used a timely hit from David Casas to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"It was terrific getting this win," Casas said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
