					| Astros Lose to Athletics, 8-3 |
					| George Leary made an impact in the 8-3 Oakland win over Houston. Leary, who finished 4th in the AL in home runs with 47 in 2040, went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win belongs to Mike Chapman in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Seth Bowersox took the loss for Houston. With the win, Oakland has a record of 49-67. Houston falls to 39-77.
The Athletics benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fourth. With Philip Jansen at bat and Oakland leading 1-0, the Houston miscue allowed Oakland to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Jansen told the Oakland Times.
