					| The Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox played an exciting game. 
 The Texas Rangers had to overcome a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Ricky Salas to grab a narrow 4-2 win at U.S. Cellular Field. Salas went 9 innings and allowed 4 runs. Pimbly Nimblebottom, the winner, goes to 4-0. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 6.1 innings.
 
 David Casas, the five-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Casas contributed a 2-run  home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Texas up, 4-1.
 
 Casas told a Texas Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
 
 The Rangers lead the American League West Division by 8½ games.
