					| Nationals Roll to 8-2 Win Over Pirates |
					| The Washington Nationals picked up a win at Nationals Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-2. On the mound for Washington was right-hander Reece Nichols, who played a pivotal role in the win. Nichols, now 15-4, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. With the victory, the Nationals upped their record to 72-37.
In the bottom of the sixth, Washington second baseman Seth Cook hit a two-strike fastball to right field for a run-scoring triple. It put the Nationals up, 2-1.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Nichols. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
