Late Magic Gets Miami 10-7 Win
The Miami Marlins picked up a win at PNC Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 10-7. On the mound for Miami was left-hander Dan Tapley, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jerry Woods, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. The Marlins sport a record of 32-72.

It could have been a different outcome for Miami, had it not been for Mike Kara, the 23-year old left fielder . Kara contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Miami up, 8-7.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Kara. "More importantly, I had a good game."
