Ledezma Strokes 5 Hits
Tony Ledezma put on a hitting clinic today as the Miami Beach Marlins dumped the Palm Beach Nationals 18-1 at Palm Beach Ballpark.

The Miami Beach catcher made Palm Beach defenders earn their pay, lashing Palm Beach pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Ledezma said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Tony Ledezma doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Kovach in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year Ledezma has hit at a .366 clip with 57 RBIs, 12 home runs and 58 runs scored.
