Ledesma HR-Happy in 6-5 Win
The Cincinnati Reds dealt the San Francisco Giants a 6-5 loss at Great American Ball Park. Jon Ledesma was the star on offense. He slugged 3 home runs. Curt Stevens, the winner, improved to 10-5. He held San Francisco to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Paul Forbes was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 20 save opportunities.

Cincinnati took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Ledesma hit a solo home run. His 22nd home run of the season made the score 4-3, Cincinnati.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said San Francisco manager Jobo Foster. "But we decided not to take it."

The victory gives Cincinnati a record of 62-41.
