					| Diaz Rips 2 Home Runs in 5-3 Mets Triumph |
					| The New York Mets beat the Washington Nationals, 5-3, at Citi Field. Johnny Diaz, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. New York reliever Victor Morin was the winner. His record is now 4-3. Brian Ramirez took the loss. The win gives New York a season record of 57-35.
Had Gus Berry not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Berry hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Mets.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Berry said after the game.
