					| Dodgers Throttled by Giants, 4-1 |
					| Curt Howland pitched a gem to lead San Francisco to victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Howland, now 10-4. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. San Francisco has now won 3 in a row.
In the top of the seventh, Clay Buchanan stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Dodgers were trailing 4-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Allen Vesey made a terrific pitch and Buchanan struck out. Gone was the dream of a Los Angeles comeback.
