					| Rangers Take Down Astros, 5-4 |
					| The Texas Rangers did just enough to sneak past the Houston Astros, 5-4, at Minute Maid Park. Texas pitcher Wayne Perry, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Texas reliever Mike Webb, now 2-0. The loser was Mike Staus. Brad Kramer converted his 20th save in 22 tries.
Texas used the clutch hitting of Rich Stinson to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Rangers the lead, 5-4. For the game, Stinson had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Perry. "Successful pitchers do it."

The victory gives Texas a record of 57-31.
