					| Royals Upend Cardinals, 7-3 |
					| The Kansas City Royals racked up a win at Busch Stadium, bumping off the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-3. Jimmy Silveira IV, who started for Kansas City, pitched effectively for his team. In 6 innings, Silveira IV surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs. With the win, the Royals have a record of 42-42.
The result might have been different, had it not been for Adam Martin, the Kansas City first baseman. Martin had a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Royals ahead, 6-3. For the game, Martin had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Martin.
