Cook Blasts Rangers, Nationals Take Game 2, 11-8
Washington designated hitter Seth Cook was the difference-maker for the Nationals in what turned into a shootout with the Texas Rangers. Cook earned accolades after going 3-for-4 in the 11-8 Nationals win. With the victory, the Nationals moved into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Washington relied on the hitting of Dan Fallon to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Nationals on top, 6-4. For the game, Fallon had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"I felt good up there," said Fallon. "I saw the ball well."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Nationals Park in Washington.
