Sovrivilla, Mets Wallop Nationals in Game 2 of R3
New York third baseman Melchor Sovrivilla produced all the offense the Mets would need today in the club's 7-2 win over the Washington Nationals.

Sovrivilla slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times, while New York moved into a tie in the League Championship Series. The Mets and Nationals are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Sovrivilla had a consequential at-bat in the top of the third for the Mets. Coming up with a runner on 1st and New York trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Sovrivilla told the New York Today.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 21st , 2044 at Citi Field in New York.
