| Moncada at His Best, Blanks University of Maine | Josh Moncada hurled a fine game for the University of Michigan Wolverines at Ray Fisher Stadium today, holding the University of Maine Black Bears to 1 hit in a shutout win.
"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," University of Michigan manager Jeff Jones Jr. said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
The right-hander had 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 8-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," University of Maine manager Brandon Tuten said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
