					| A 6-RBI performance from first baseman Efrain Vargas, who led the NL in on-base percentage with .507 in 2041, led the Chicago Cubs to a win over the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-7.  Chicago raised its record to 58-24 with the win. 
 Josh Kalman was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cubs left fielder hit a dramatic solo  home run to send the teams home.
 
 "We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Kalman said after the game.
