					| Giants Win, 7-2, at Atlanta |
					| A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves.
The San Francisco Giants topped the Atlanta Braves, 7-2, in National League action at Turner Field. The standout performance belonged to San Francisco pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Keith Kidd. In 7 innings, Kidd surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Henri Cederberg to capture the win. The center fielder socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Giants ahead, 6-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Kidd.

The win elevated the Giants to 43-35.
