					| Led by Junzo Kato, the Washington Nationals downed the Miami Marlins, 11-1. Kato went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles,  and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Nationals. Reece Nichols picked up the win with 8.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 11-3. The Nationals lead the National League East Division by 5½ games. 
 Mike Blair, who is a three-time All-Star, contributed to the Washington win with a 3-run  home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
