					| The Philadelphia Phillies got a stellar effort from pitcher Scott Bernstein, helping Philadelphia score a win over the visiting New York Yankees, 2-1. Bernstein picked up the win for Philadelphia, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 4-5. Randy Karnes was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 12 save opportunities. 
 Eric Katz, who finished 5th in the NL in home runs with 39 in 2042, contributed to the Philadelphia win with a 2-run  home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
