					| The Kansas City Royals beat the Montreal Expos, 7-3, at Kauffman Stadium. The win was due in part to center fielder Tony Prado, who went 1 for 2 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Travis Lakatos converted his 7th save in 9 tries. The win puts the Royals at 33-38, while the Expos drop to 37-37. 
 Aaron Matthews took Jon Turman deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run  home run put the Royals on top, 6-3. In all, Matthews had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
 
 Prado said his team "played with focus."
