		| Everything was working for John Fisher today at Howard Johnson Field. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The forkball was working.
In an unforgettable performance, the 19-year-old Fisher fanned 16 Pirates and sparked the Johnson City Cardinals to a 14-2 victory over Bristol. He left Pirates hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.

"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Johnson City manager Julio Rivero. "His location and command were really something."

In addition to collecting 16 strikeouts over 6.1 innings, Fisher allowed 1 hit and no walks in a superlative outing.

"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Fisher said with a smile.

Checking out his stats for the year, Fisher has racked up 3 wins and no losses in 9 starts, 2.89 ERA and struck out 85 batters in 43.2 innings.
