					| Martin Hits 2 home runs in Padres Win |  
					| The San Diego Padres topped the Atlanta Braves, 4-2, with catcher Joseph Martin playing a big role. Martin was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Padres in the win. Gerardo Amendoeira got credit for the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. Jason Breeden was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. 
 With San Diego leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Martin hit a changeup from Edwin Rivera for a 2-run  home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Padres ahead, 4-0.
 
 "Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said San Diego manager Robert Yoka.
 
 The Padres lead the National League West Division by 12 games.
