					| Orioles Deal Mets 3-1 Loss |
					| The Baltimore Orioles had to overcome a fine effort from New York pitcher Lewis Thorpe Jr. to grab a narrow 3-1 win at Citi Field. Thorpe Jr. went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Baltimore reliever Joon-ho Rhee, now 1-1. The loser was Xu-gang Zhou. Errol Dondale notched his 17th save in 17 chances.
Baltimore needed the clutch hitting of Saimei Kudo to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Orioles on top, 3-1. For the game, Kudo had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Kudo.

Baltimore raised its record to 33-30 with the win.
