		| Knox Socks It to Cubs, Cracks 7 Hits |
		| Phil Knox exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium.
The Great Lakes third baseman had a field day in the 20-4 triumph over the South Bend Cubs, finishing 7-for-7.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Knox must have focused at least 7 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Phil Knox hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.

This season Knox has banged out 84 hits in 283 at-bats for a .297 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .346 pace and his totals also include 42 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
