					| St. Louis Cardinals starter Chad Steffee pitched a strong game against the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium, leading the Cardinals to victory, 6-4. The winning pitcher was Steffee, now 2-3. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 3. St. Louis has now won 4 games in a row. 
 The Cardinals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Pavpv Ivanushkin. For the game, Ivanushkin was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season gave St. Louis a 5-2 lead.
 
 Ivanushkin told a St. Louis Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
