					| Cubs Prevail, 6-5, Over Miami |
					| Efrain Vargas helped his team muscle past the Miami Marlins, 6-5. In the game, the Chicago first baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The save went to George Poirier, number 5 for him. Chicago is now 28-14, 3 games up in the National League Central Division.
Had Will Leslie not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Leslie hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Cubs.

"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Vargas. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
