					| Giants Win, 5-3, Versus Nationals |
					| Washington right fielder C.J. Beavers had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Beavers was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs, even as San Francisco beat the Nationals, 5-3. Nicolas Coppola II, the winner, goes to 5-1. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Borisz Barciniak closed it out for his 6th save.
The Giants had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 5-3, San Francisco, with one out. Washington, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. R.J. O'Brien dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 fastball, he hit into a double play.

The win gives San Francisco a season record of 20-17.
