					| Washington Beats Los Angeles, 4-3 |
					| Despite a fine performance by shortstop Clay Buchanan, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Washington Nationals, 4-3. Buchanan went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Danny Diaz, the winner, goes to 1-5. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts over 6.2 innings. Los Angeles, at 20-18, has lost 4 straight.
Washington used a well-timed hit by Luis Torres to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Nationals ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Los Angeles manager Shad Snyder. "The effort was great."
