McDonald Bangs Out 6 Base Hits
6 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Connecticut's Tommy McDonald made it happen today against the Chukars. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old catcher as he collected 6 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Tigers to a 27-1 win at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," McDonald said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."

Tommy McDonald singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

This year McDonald is batting .379 with 1 home run and 11 RBIs.
