		| Lightell Belts 6 Hits |
		| A jubilant Joe Lightell joined the postgame press conference at LoanMart Field today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes pitching staff he had just vanquished.
"It may not have looked like it," said the Clearwater Threshers third baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 6-for-7 hitting performance, which led the Threshers to a 28-4 win.

"He made it look easy," said Ryan Vogelsong, manager of the Quakes. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Joe Lightell singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Omar Resendez in the 9th.

In this current campaign Lightell is hitting at a .319 clip with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs.
